Car accidents are one of the leading causes of road fatalities in the United States. And one of the major causes of car accidents is distracted driving. Distracted driving may be caused by texting and driving, talking on a cellphone while driving or driving under the influence. Throughout the U.S., including Arizona, states have thus imposed stringent laws to minimize distracted driving. Reportedly, 33,561 car accident fatalities were reported in 2012, an increase of 3.3 percent, or 1,082 more deaths than the previous year.
